Creating an Infographic on Cyberbullying

With the intention of bringing awareness to the issue of cyberbullying, I have prepared an infographic that contains vital details regarding the issue in the topic. The aim was to make the issue more impactful while also accessible so that people could pay attention towards the issue. I created the infographic on Visme and then embedded it in my Blogger site.

Choosing the Topic

In the modern technology driven era, cyberbullying is one of the foremost issues. The victims tend to suffer from severe emotional or psychological trauma which makes it essential to teach people the ways to identify, recognize, and prevent it. The infographic that I designed elaborates on the concept of cyberbullying, its impacts, and preventative measures to take while surfing the net.

Design Experience and Challenges

From my Visme account I made use of a professional template and created a design that aligned with my content. One of the issues I had to deal with was fitting all the necessary information in a succinct manner. Another challenge was covering up Visme's branding on the embedded infographic, which is why I used CSS in Blogger to hide it. Still, I was able to overcome these problems and create an intriguing infographic that was informative yet visually appealing.

Reflections on Infographics in Learning

They allow learners to grasp intricate ideas while promoting study and aiding in the retention of knowledge, especially for those who learn visually, making infographics crucial to be used in English lessons.

In the process of crafting an infographic, a student learns critical thinking, summarization, and design skills. The learning becomes more interactive as they actively process and organize information.

In general, this assignment made me appreciate how ‘visuals’ can enhance the quality of educational content. Making this infographic was quite interesting, and I think it is an effective way to engage learners of any grade or subject.
